Skin rejuvenation procedures such as Fraxel offer a convenient and affordable way to maintain a refreshed, smooth skin complexion while also fighting the signs of aging. The technology offered with Fraxel provides a safe, non-invasive laser treatment designed to remove years from our patients’ appearances – often without the risks, side effects, or prolonged downtime usually associated with surgical procedures.
Through precise thermal manipulation of the outer layers of the skin, the patterned lasers remodel collagen through the papillary dermis to promote the production of collagen and, ultimately, new and beautiful skin.

Fractionated skin resurfacing is based on the principle of patient-friendly micro-thermal treatment zones. The laser pulses create tiny treatment zones, removing the upper layers of skin. These zones are only a percentage of the skin surface, and so patterned areas of skin are purposefully left untreated. This acts as a reservoir for more effective and rapid tissue healing and collagen production while reducing discomfort.
The micro-thermal treatment triggers the body’s natural healing process, stimulating the growth of new, healthy skin while improving skin texture and tone. The treatment also smoothes wrinkles and acne scars on the face, neck, chest, arms, and hands.
This unique method protects the skin from enduring too much damage at once and eliminates much of the downtime associated with CO2 or erbium laser resurfacing treatment. Fraxel is less painful than other similar treatments, takes less time, cost less, and is FDA approved for the removal of wrinkles and scars.
The session typically lasts anywhere from thirty minutes to over an hour and is akin to the sensation of tiny snaps from a rubber band. Optimal improvement is usually visible in about two to three months. For best results, we recommend between 3-5 treatments.
